Outstanding Age Competitions

OUTSTANDING SOLO ~ Students will compete with students their age in groups no larger than 8 for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place trophies.  Each student performs one piece of their own choice, there is no required repertoire list for this event.  All three finalists perform on either the Junior Honors Recital or the Senior Honors Recital.  Rankings of finalists are announced at the end of the recital and trophies are awarded.

OUTSTANDING DUET ~ Duets may compete as 2 performers aged 5-18, 2 performers who are both over age 18, or as a duet made up of one student under age 18 and the other over 18, who is not a teacher.  Duets will compete by the age of the older student under the age of 18, e.g., a duet team of a 6 year-old and an 8 year-old shall compete as Age 8 Duet.  Team will be grouped within 3 ages, e.g., Duets Age6-8 could be one competition group.  There is no repertoire list.  Each performer in the duet will receive a trophy.  !st, 2nd and 3rd Place will be awarded in each competition group. All three finalists perform on either the Junior Honors Recital or the Senior Honors Recital.  Rankings of finalists are announced at the end of the recital and trophies are awarded.
